Since Maladies and Medicine: Exploring Health and Healing, 1540-1740 came out last year, we have been doing lots of exciting events to share the ideas in the book with everyone. We have given a number of sold-out talks across the country from the Wellcome Trust in London to the 1620s House in Leicestershire. We’ve been on BBC radio 3 and done lots of local radio, podcasts, features in newspapers and magazines, films and all sorts. We have bookings in place through to November 2019 but can always fit in more!
We thought we would let readers of Early Modern Medicine know about this in case you didn’t know, but are a member of a society, club, group or institution which would like us to come and address you.
We can offer a flexible approach to talks from 20-30 minutes to an hour and we illustrate our stories with fabulous images and the occasional prop. We are happy to chat after and sign copies of the books. So if you are interested in booking us, please get in touch via
